National Statistics Online: "The number of visits to the UK by overseas residents during March to May 2003 decreased by 13 per cent compared with the previous three months - from 6.4 million to 5.6 million - according to new statistics from the International Passenger Survey. Spending during these visits fell by 14 per cent - to �2.7 billion.
Over the same period, the number of overseas visits by UK residents remained broadly unchanged at 15.2 million. The amount spent fell by 5 per cent - to �6.9 billion."
